Main elements: Taijutsu (empty handed techniques) and
Bukiwaza (weapons training)encompassing Aiki Ken (sword) and Aiki Jo
(staff). Please refer to the "Riai" section of this website for more
information regarding this topic.
Basic These classes cover the basics of aikido training. Basic classes are open
for all levels, but this is where beginners can start their Aikido training.
A wide range of basic level techniques will be taught. By having the basic
classes open for all levels, beginners will have the chance to train with,
and learn from, more advanced practitioners right from the start.
Bukiwaza
Weapons classes are open for members who have a good foundation in their
basic practice. This is usually from 6th kyu and up, but depends on the
individuals’ command of basic movements.
Advanced Advanced classes are held for 3rd kyu levels and up on
Thursday evenings. These classes will
give the higher ranked members a chance to train more challenging parts of
our large technical curriculum.
Morning classes Morning classes are from 09:30 - 10:30 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The classes are Basic - open for beginners. Wednesday classes are
Aikido weapons
training (Aiki Ken and Aiki Jo).
Children’s/Youth Classes Children’s/Youth Aikido Classes are for the age group 10-14 years.
Tuesdays 17:00-17:50 Thursdays 17:00-17:50
Adult Shuren Dojo members are welcome to take part in these classes, as
well.
Tobikomi Keiko (Mat Fee) For aikido practitioners (non-Shuren Dojo members) wishing to take part in a
single training session there is a DKK 50 mat fee, which is to be paid at
the dojo.
