Man konkurrerer
heller ikke i Aikido. Man træner for at udvikle sig selv,
både fysisk, mentalt og spirituelt. Man lærer at undgå
modstanderens/angriberens kraft for, i cirkulære,
harmoniske bevægelser, at neutralisere angrebet. Man skiftes
Hermed lærer man, at samarbejde
Aikido undervisningen i Copenhagen Aiki
deltagerne i timerne.
Ethan Monnot Weisgard

CHILDREN'S AND YOUTH CLASSES IN
AIKIDO
Enrolment is possible throughout
the year.
Tuesdays 17:00-18:00
for 7 to 10 years of age
Thursdays 17:00-18:00 for 10-14 years of age
Aikido is a martial art based on non-aggression. There are
no offensive or attacking techniques in Aikido – it is a
defensive martial art. There are no competitions in Aikido.
You train to develop yourself – physically, mentally and
spiritually. You learn to avoid your attacker’s power, and
to neutralize the attack through circular harmonious
movements. You take turns being the person doing the
defensive technique, and the person the technique is
performed on. In this way, training becomes a means to learn
to work with each other, to develop yourself and to learn
from each other.
Children benefit greatly from Aikido as a physical training
method to develop strong and flexible bodies. They learn
falling and rolling techniques in order to receive the
techniques of Aikido when they are in the attacker’s role.
They also learn correct posture, to stand and move in balanced positions, how to move to avoid the attacks and many
other useful things.
Aikido, as the
traditional martial art that it is, puts great emphasis on
correct manners and behaviour – "reigi" in Japanese. This
proves to have a positive effect on young people, teaching them
respect and empathy towards their training partners
and instructors.
Aikido lessons in Copenhagen Aiki Shuren Dojo will be taught
in a differentiated manner, both regarding the contents of
the teaching that the two age groups are divided into (Tuesdays and
Thursdays), as well as in regard to the individual children.
I teach the regular classes in Danish, English and at times
in Japanese, depending upon the languages spoken by the
class participants. In the children's classes - in cases where the children do
not speak Danish - I will provide instruction for them
during the classes in the
languages mentioned.
Sincerely,
Ethan Monnot
